When was the last time you took the time to seriously take care of yourself? There’s no manual to “adulting” and quite frankly, navigating all these transitions and new experiences can be draining. Work stress that seems to never end! Sexism, racism, homophobia, and or gender binary thinking that shows up in the form of microaggressions while you try to make your mark in your respective career/work/entrepreneurial world.
And then there’s relationships. Why are they so hard to find, maintain, and make more meaningful? And I’m not just talking about romantic relationships. I also mean your relationships with your family, your friends, and your work colleagues.
The reality is that you just want to feel comfortable in your own skin. You want to set your goals and crush them. You want to experience successes in your chosen career path and feel like your personal life is vibing at the same time. Well taking some “me time” in the form of individual therapy is a prime opportunity to focus on yourself, begin to reflect on the life you currently live, and figure out where you want that life to go.
Vulnerability can be tough! Talking about difficult or traumatic experiences while also digesting some of your past life decisions is also not an easy task. However, I get in there with you, roll up my sleeves, and together, we address these barriers and understand what might be moving you away from feeling and showing up as your true self. I want you to feel empowered and feel like you have the tools to not only take on the current challenges you face, but also to continue to take on transitions head on when you face them in your life. Expect to explore the things that you might be pushing away and don’t be surprised if my homework assignments have you doing the things that you’ve been successfully avoiding for weeks, months, or even years.
